THE LITTLE THINGS

Image
CHILLED WEEKEND With all the hustle and bustle of starting up a business, you've got to remember to take the time to chill every once in a while. Last weekend we went to Boscombe beach with a couple of our friends for a late-night fire. Getting to the Beach Usually, traveling can be quite boring but car journeys to the beach are always fun! It takes just under an hour and a half to get there from where we live so it's not too long, but it flies by. Sometimes we get some food and stop at Maccies on the way down for some late-night dinner but one thing you can always count on is the tunes will be blaring ! Our friends that we went with this time, Somer and her boyfriend Josh, are obsessed with all things music so Matt made sure to put on a lively playlist.  The Bonfire As soon as we get to the beach and park up, it's all systems go to get the fire started. We have a fire pit we bought about 2 months ago which does us perfectly! It's a great size for a little fire and it ...

TATTOO TALK

TATTOO TALK How I got into tattoos I've always been obsessed with tattoos even from a young age. I have two older brothers, Gareth who is 33 and Anthony who is 30, and they've always been interested in and got tattoos so it made sense for me to follow suit. We always used to watch the programmes like Miami Ink and London Ink but the best one was definitely LA ink. The talent they had in that studio was insane, I mean Kat Von D, need I say more?! I think I was about 14 when I started planning out my tattoos and sleeve that I wanted, making Pinterest boards and looking at thousands of tattoo Instagram accounts to find out what style of tattoo I really wanted. Now I was lucky, my brother Anthony had half a sleeve done by an incredible artist Hannah Calavera, and once I saw her work, I KNEW she was the one I wanted to do my sleeve. As soon as I turned 18, I got my first tattoo. I wanted to test the waters to see if I could handle a big tattoo so I got a little rocket ship on my an...

THE NEW AMAT CULTURE STOREFRONT

Image
AMAT Culture Is Live!  After a struggle, Amelia and I finally opened up our first store. We wanted to bring our customers and followers the best life hacks, car, kitchen, and make-up products that we know are quality. Our store is looking really fresh, but I'll be honest I'm clutching at straws with designs as I have never designed a shop and we also haven't done anything like this before.  Matt's Favourite Saying "It's not where you start, it's where you finish!" We are so proud of how far we have come and I'm more excited about how far we can go because if I'm honest the limits are endless. Please come and check out our finds. We have scoured for these, so you know you are getting the best quality.

WE JUST SMASHSED TWO MILESTONES IN ONE DAY

Image
I am so fucking proud of what Amelia and I have done. we have worked consistently hard and it's finally paying off. A lot of people kept telling me don't take the risk don't do this and don't do that yet because I didn't listen to them, we are here now. To be honest I never listen to many people that slate me cause there is a lot but I'm glad they do it cause I will always do the opposite. ALWAYS. 2 Milestones Smashed  2 Milestones were smashed today, and the day isn't even over yet. We have smashed £100 in a day sale, its 19:29pm right now and we have sold £125 in sales. I know to everyone else that doesn't seem like a lot, but I am flabbergasted at the fact we have pulled off that milestone. That is huge for us. We also obliterated our Personal Record for units sold in a day, currently, we are at 13 units. I really hope we can keep up with the fast-moving amazon world. If we stick to the path, we both are laying then I know we can't fail.  We are ...

WHAT A DAY

Image
Wow - What a Day! Today we sold 6 units of stock on Amazon, making it our biggest selling day so far! Such an incredible feeling to be smashing targets and previous records that we've set.  Matt and I are so chuffed with how the business is going, we couldn't have wanted more for it. We're slowly growing and getting it to where we want it to be. It all comes with time and hard work though so we're not relaxing just yet! But just imagine what our records will be in a couple of months or so... 6 units into 5 orders, and we're getting more and more buy box wins! We hope we can have an even better day than this one very soon 😁

TRUE CRIME ADDICT!!

True Crime Lover If you're anything like me, you LOVE true crime. The continuous story series, the different cases on each episode or even a feature film; all types of it, I love it. I first started getting into true crime when I was about 17/18 when I watched a documentary about a particular case and from that point, I was hooked.  I always watch the newest documentaries that are out on Netflix! I think my favourite type of true crime show out there, is the unsolved case programmes, the best one is Cold Case Files. There have been a few now that you can watch  (I can't for the life of me remember what they're all called but another great one is Unsolved Mysteries) mostly on Netflix. It's so nice to see that unsolved crimes finally get their justice and help the family and friends get peace. But then they're also so interesting because they're using DNA collected from 20/30 years ago in some cases and you can watch how they were collected and how they were used...

JUST A QUICK UPDATE!

We have had a long day, started by cleaning my car ready for us going to the beach for a fire at like 8 30pm. We then went off to sainsburys because amelia has been struggling with her vision lately and she has finally gave into doing an eye test. Turns out she needs glasses. i wont lie I am ignorant to all this but -0.5 not sure how and that is but surely cant be good.  We then ended up buying some product testers for amazon as we trawled through their clearance and other trinkets. i wont go into detail what we bough but if you keep an eye out for amazon shop you'll see very soon. we then decided to go food shopping and got about 2 weeks food and fuck me we spent £100 man, scares how much prices are inflating. We can pull through as a country. While we were shopping we hit up the lidl special isle and ended up picking some more products and we then decided to move on to home abrgains and we found some awesome stuff to sell.  We got home stored the shopping and got our p...

THE DREAM JOB

The 5-Year Plan The opportunities are endless!  The dream job was the end product of my 5-year plan. My 5-year plan started with a company that enrolled me on an apprenticeship in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps Level 3 NVQ diploma, now that course would last 3 years. At this moment in time, I am currently just finished my second year and completed my portfolio which let me tell you was a fucking hassle, a serious faff, the portfolio doesn't really show you can do things they can be easily changed to suit the needs you need for it but it never shows as an engineer if you can solve some serious and critical puzzles but that's why we do it. My dream job is working for a company called Johnson Controls. This company I believe has some completely incredible opportunities that can come within this industry. I get to work on critical systems all over the country and eventually all over the world. When I put my mind to something I can do it, when I get solid kn...

TAKING A GAMBLE!

Image
Last week I took a huge gamble on some Yu Gi Oh cards. I bought 300 for £17.99, 74 for £5 and some pokemon cards for about £12. Now I am sceptical of course who wouldn't be, you have no idea what ya getting or what the price of anything is. I took a gamble but I personally feel it was a good move for a few quick bits now to boost the business bank account. We got lucky with a few I think will make the whole lot profitable. My Yu Gi Oh from the 300 I'm not sure whether I believe this app called "Dragon Shield", now scanning all my cards and putting them into an inventory list is a fucking brilliant idea but some of the cards that it recognised told me they were worth $30 ish but after checking they actually weren't. The card it was picking up was not the one that was selling at $30. I understand there will always be discrepancies but it's hard to look at my cards on there and see if they are worth it as it's hard to tell. I will at some point write a review...

MY FIRST BUY AT SOME STOCKS

I finally bought some stock. I've finally seen the light and started my journey in investing. I bought stocks in XRP for $30, Alibaba for $10 and $10 Geo Group. If you know you know. <script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-7311801091550749" crossorigin="anonymous"></script> Michael Burry the man behind "The Big Short" bet against everyone and made millions from the financial crash. He has recently seen selling everyone one of his stocks part from one in GEO Group which is a company that runs the privatised prison systems in the USA. He obviously sees the decline coming and everyone being unemployed and criminality rising as a lot of been said on the matter of him only keeping that stock. That was one reason and if I'm honest I will buy more once I get my first full wage from JCI. Until that day I won't be investing anymore, Unless amazon starts flying then maybe if we hav...

WE MADE OUR FIRST £100 IN SALES! 21/09/2022

Image
BABY STEPS We did it! We are moving forward! We are taking small steps towards our goal. I am so proud of what Amelia and I have achieved so far, we have just made our first £100 in sales. That was a great first week with our products being officially live on Amazon's Marketplace. We have had some anxious waiting and wondering if we sent the packages off to amazon correctly or if we missed a label or the worse thing, is if the shipment was rejected and we had to pay the fees to bring it back. I'm just looking forward to seeing what we can achieve cause we are a solid team and I wholeheartedly believe fuck all can stop us! We are on a mission to be financial free i'm not greedy, I don't want to be rich, ideally I'd love to go to work without worrying that I need to go because of the money. Then I can go to work and seriously have no boundaries and really express my desire to excel through my company's systems.  With this infrastructure that we are building, we ...

Our Rookie Year Selling On FBA

Image
I've seen so much information and different opinions on selling through FBA (Fulfilment By Amazon) on multiple platforms and from the research I conducted. Everyone had quite a wide range of differences, but the few main concerns are finding products and the right niche. Personally, I haven't really felt like the niche is the way forward for me at this time but I'm not ruling out anything later on in AMATs future because I believe AMAT Culture Ltd has a bright future. Finding Products 100% the most ball ache of Amazon FBA! Scrolling through endless amounts of wholesalers and websites that have clearances to find the products that you could make a little profit off. I am using this method because I believe this is the best way for someone like myself and my wonderful fiancee. I am seeing this method work as we have consecutive days of selling units, now I understand people will see £1000 to £5000 a month in sales (remember sales is not your take home) all over platforms but...

UFC 279!!!! WOW

What a fucking amazing card!! We saw a first in the UFC which was an upkick to the liver by Irene Aldana to Macy Chiasson. When she just hit the floor, myself and amelia were like what happened? from the angle that was live we could see the upkick look like it hit the arm but when they showed the slow-mo, PERFECT flush heel upkick to soft liver spot which can make any man or woman keel over with agony as the whole body shuts down. <script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-7311801091550749"      crossorigin="anonymous"></script> We saw Nate Diaz finish El Cucuy in the 4th round with a beautiful submission. I always get scared in the moment of watching El Cucuy fight, I remember seeing from years ago but after a few knockouts and some brutal scraps like Anthony Pettis, but I'm worried for him when he enters the Octagon because he has no quit in himself and I can see him dying in that Octagon!  Nate...

MR & MRS KIRBY!!!

What a day for a wedding!  Yesterday, Matt and I went to my cousin's wedding and it was nothing short of beautiful.  The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and everyone had a smile on their face the entire day. We arrived at the venue and went to take our seats straight away. The whole day was my cousin and her now husband's taste, down to a T. She'd made a load of the decorations herself, thrifted some vases and painted them and there was a huge grazing table for the food filled with cheeses and meats! Although, my Aunty made a grazing table for the children with crisps and sausage rolls so most of us made our way over there as well.  <script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-7311801091550749"      crossorigin="anonymous"></script> The entire day was just beautiful! Her dress was made from two different dresses because she couldn't decide but what a choice that was because she ...

LONDON BIRDGE HAS FALLEN!!

Image
R.I.P Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II I grew up with the Queen reigning for about 41 years when I gracefully entered this world in 1993 ( I say gracefully but it was not gracefully actually far from it). We were all taught as kids that the monarchy are the Crown Jewels of the Commonwealth, we never saw the political implications and the duties that arise with a monarch. Me personally i have only have seen her on T.V. visiting people and making gracious appearances with the public. I know of one person that has physically met the Queen in person and they said she was tremdously gentle and very cordial. Now for probably a very unpopular opinion I don't believe i have had any direct effect from anything the Queen was able to provide but i can count on that i am probably being very ignorant. This does not mean i don't like the monarchy. I LOVE the monarchy, they bring in valuable revenue with tourism and local businesses stand in good stead when she makes a public appearance. We a...

WELCOME TO OUR LIVES

Welcome to mine and Amelia's first blog post.  We have never done anything like this before.😟 <script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-7311801091550749"      crossorigin="anonymous"></script> A little background on Amelia and myself. Personally I have worked in the HVAC & Refrigeration trade for over 3 years now. I am currently employed as an HVAC Improver Engineer. This is just a fancy name for an engineer learning the trade, I did 2 years at a company called Nationwide Air Conditioning, 1 year with a company called Arcus FM and I am now entering my dream role, HVAC Technician (I will mention more about this later so stay posted) with a company called Johnson Controls, they are a global multi-million-pound company. The original owner who founded Johnson Controls was Warren Johnson launched a company to explore new ways to harness and conserve precious energy resources. Enough about me! Amel...
