MATT AND I

 Matt and I

We post a lot about our daily lives and achievements with the business on here, but you probably don't know a lot about Matt and I in general!

Our Relationship

Matt and I have been together for just over two years (two years and two months to be exact) and what a two years it's been! We met on Tinder and hit it off straight away, chatting daily about everything and anything. It wasn't as easy as it seems though as I'd previously ghosted Matt on Tinder before we started talking for the second time! I can't remember doing it but how horrible of me, he changed his main picture after that to a photo of him topless with a monkey sat on his hands when he was in Gibraltar for a friends wedding. We obviously matched again after that, thank goodness he gave me a second chance!

Our relationship moved quite quickly after that and Matt moved in with me within a month, 6 months later we moved into our first place together, just us.

I said yes!!

For our two year anniversary, Matt was going to propose! He had this big idea all planned out, got some friends involved to help set a few things up and I ruined it. I was being too nosey and found out that he was planning it for our anniversary date and also had an inkling as to where it was going to happen. Matt knew I was getting suspicious, but he just wanted it to be a surprise for me so another plan had to be thought out. One evening we'd gone to Matt's parents for dinner and had a lovely time there. They gave us some ice cream so when we got home, I was putting it in the freezer when Matt shouted me to 'come here'. After me arguing back that I was putting the ice cream away, I walked into the spare room to see him on one knee. Of course, I said yes without a shadow of a doubt!
Don't get me wrong, the idea he had planned out originally would have been amazing but the proposal I actually had was also amazing. It was so us and I wouldn't change it for the world!

Our Lives

We have quite hectic lives! I have a huge family who we always try to make time to see and we're usually around Matt's parents at least one evening a week. We also try to make time to spend with our friends as much as we can. We don't have a massive friendship group but that means nothing, the friends we have are incredible. Between being social and doing work for the business, we don't get a lot of time to relax together so whenever we do, we make the most of it.

We love to watch new series on Netflix together, most recently starting Dahmer. We've also started watching Power on Netflix, Matt's already watched it once but wanted to watch it again and I'd never seen it. I'm glad he put it on though because I am HOOKED. There's been a lot of programmes that Matt has introduced to me throughout our relationship and I've always been adamant I won't like it before I even try. The main one being cartoons! I was sure I wouldn't like shows like Rick and Morty and Bob's Burgers but Matt knew that I would, and now they're my 2 favourite comfort shows. I can't really say thank god I listened to him, because I didn't and never really do, but thank god he ignored me and just put them on!

Big Plans

We've got some big plans for our future, one of the main ones being the business. We can't wait to watch it grow into something great and know that we worked hard to get it there. We'd also love to move out at some point and have a house rather than a flat, it would be so nice to have a garden again for the summer. And obviously, we have a wedding to plan! If it were up to me and we had the money, I'd get married tomorrow, I can't wait to be a Cox and to marry Matt. At some point in the future, it will happen and it will be the best wedding of the year, I'm sure!
